Perky Animate Design Options

Within the design tab you will find all of the module’s styling options, such as fonts, colors, sizing and spacing. This is the tab you will use to change how your module looks. Every Divi module has a long list of design settings that you can use to change just about anything.

Perky Animate Design Options

Layout

Subheading Placement

This controls whether the subheading should text appears before or after the Title text.

Image & Icon

Here's where you can design and style your Image & Icon.

Icon Color

If you chose “yes” for the “Use Icon” setting, then this option will appear. This option allows you to customize the color of your Icon. By default, the icons are set to your theme accent color.

Circle Icon

If you chose “yes” for the “Use Icon” setting, then this option will appear. This options allows you to place your icon within a colored circle. If you select “yes” for this setting, then you will be presented with additional options for customizing your circle color and border.

Circle Color

If you chose “yes” for the “Circle Icon” setting, then this option will appear. Here you can pick a color to use for your circle. This color is independent from your Icon color selected earlier. You icon, in it’s color, will appear inside this a circle with the color you select here.

Show Circle Border

If you chose “yes” for the “Circle Icon” setting, then this option will appear. This option allows you to turn on a border for your circle. If selected, an additional option will appear to select your border color.

Circle Border Color

If you chose “yes” for the “Show Circle Border” setting, then this option will appear. Here you can adjust the color of the circle border.

Image/Icon Placement

Here you can choose where you would like your image/icon to be placed. It can either appear above the text, or to the left of the text. Placing the image/icon to the left of your text will cause the image to be smaller than if it were placed at the top.

Image/Icon Alignment

This setting determines the alignment of your Icon. Your icon can either be aligned left, centered, or right.

Use Icon Font Size

If enabled, you can input a custom size for the icon that is displayed above, left or to the right of your Perky Animate text.

Icon Bottom Gap

You can input a custom bottom gap for the icon.

Divider

Here's where you can design and style your Divider.

Divider Line Color

By default, the divider line color in Divi will appear as white or dark gray. If you would like to change the color of your divider line color, choose your desired color from the color picker using this option.

Divider Line Style

Here you can choose 4 types of border styles (Solid, Double, Dotted and Dashed).

Divider Line Width

You can input a custom width size for the Divider line.

Divider Line Weight

You can input a custom weight for the Divider line which also refers to the thickness of the line.

Divider Gap Spacing

The Gap on the top and bottom of the divider.

Underline Animation

Here's where you can design and style your Underline Animation. Options will appear when you are using Underline Animation in the Title Effect. Note: If you are using Divider, then this is not advisable but depending of your divider line placement. It's all up to you.

Underline Color

By default, the underline color in Divi will appear as white or dark gray. If you would like to change the color of your underline color, choose your desired color from the color picker using this option.

Underline Weight

You can input a custom weight for the Underline Animation which also refers to the thickness of the underline.

Underline Gap

The Gap on the top and bottom of the Underline Animation.

Typing Effect

Here's where you can design and style your Typing Effect. Options will appear when you are using Typing Effect in the Title Effect.

Typing Font Color

By default, the typing font color in Divi will appear the same as your title font color. If you would like to change the color of your typing font color, choose your desired color from the color picker using this option.

Typing Background Color

You can choose your desired color from the color picker for the typing background color. This will be apply a background color to the typing effect only.

Typing Underline Color

YIf you would like to have a underline on the typing effect, then you can choose your desired color from the color picker using this option.

Typing Underline Weight

You can input a custom weight for the Typing Underline Weight which also refers to the thickness of the underline.

Cursor Color

By default, the cursor color in typing effect will appear the same as your title font color. If you would like to change the color of your cursor color, choose your desired color from the color picker using this option.

Padding

By default, there's no padding to the typing effect. If you would like to have a padding on the typing effect only, then input your desired padding here. Tips: This is useful when you are using design options such as Typing Background Color.

Rotator Effect

Here's where you can design and style your Rotator Effect. Options will appear when you are using Rotator Effect in the Title Effect.

Rotator Font Color

By default, the typing font color in Divi will appear the same as your title font color. If you would like to change the color of your rotator font color, choose your desired color from the color picker using this option.

Rotator Background Color

You can choose your desired color from the color picker for the rotator background color. This will be apply a background color to the rotator effect only.

Rotator Underline Color

YIf you would like to have a underline on the rotator effect, then you can choose your desired color from the color picker using this option.

Rotator Underline Weight

You can input a custom weight for the Rotator Underline Weight which also refers to the thickness of the underline.

Padding

By default, there's no padding to the rotator effect. If you would like to have a padding on the Rotator effect only, then input your desired padding here. Tips: This is useful when you are using design options such as Rotator Background Color.

Background Text

Here's where you can design and style your Background Text. Options will appear when you are using Background Text in the Title Effect.

Background Vertical Alignment

Vertical Alignment of Background Text. You can drag the range slider to adjust the vertical alignment to suit your style.

Background Horizontal Alignment

Horizontal Alignment of Background Text. You can drag the range slider to adjust the horizontal alignment to suit your style.

Background Text Font

You can change the font of your background Text by selecting your desired font from the dropdown menu. Divi comes with dozens of great fonts powered by Google Fonts. By default, Divi uses the Open Sans font for all text on your page. You can also customize the style of your text using the bold, italic, all-caps and underline options.

Background Text Font Size

Here you can adjust the size of your Background Text. You can drag the range slider to increase or decrease the size of your text, or you can input your desired text size value directly into the input field to the right of the slider. The input fields supports different units of measurement, which means you can input “px” or “em” following your size value to change its unit type.

By default, all text colors in Divi will appear as white or dark gray. If you would like to change the color of your Background Text, choose your desired color from the color picker using this option.

Background Text Letter Spacing

Letter spacing affects the space between each letter. If you would like to increase the space between each letter in your Background Text, use the range slider to adjust the space or input your desired spacing size into the input field to the right of the slider. The input fields supports different units of measurement, which means you can input “px” or “em” following your size value to change its unit type.

Background Text Line Height

Line height affects the space between each line of your Background Text If you would like to increase the space between each line, use the range slider to adjust the space or input your desired spacing size into the input field to the right of the slider. The input fields supports different units of measurement, which means you can input “px” or “em” following your size value to change its unit type.

Background Text Shadow

This will apply a shadow on your Background Text. There are various type of options and choose your desired shadow or adjust them to suit your style.

Cover Image

Here's where you can adjust your design and style your Cover Image, alignment and etc.

Height

Here you can adjust the height of your cover image animate. You can drag the range slider to increase or decrease the height, or you can input your desired height size value directly into the input field to the right of the slider.

Text Orientation

This dropdown menu allows you to specify the orientation of your cover image text to be Left Justified, Centered, or Right Justified.

Vertical Alignment

This setting determines the vertical alignment of your content. Your content can either be vertically top, centered, or aligned to the bottom.

Padding

By default, there's no padding to the Cover Image text. If you would like to have a padding on the cover image text only, then input your desired padding here.

Overlay

Here's where you can adjust your design and style your Overlay and etc. Options will show up here only if enable overlay in the content tab. There are 4 tabs here in the overlay section. First tab is where you can change the font and size for the overlay title and description. Second tab is where you adjust your text alignment. Third tab is where you would like to have an overlay gradient on top of Perky Animate and the background color of the overlay text. The fourth tab is where your can have padding on the overlay text.

Font

You can change the font of your overlay title and description text by selecting your desired font from the dropdown menu. Divi comes with dozens of great fonts powered by Google Fonts. By default, Divi uses the Open Sans font for all text on your page. You can also customize the style of your text using the bold, italic, all-caps and underline options.

Alignment

Text Orientation

This dropdown menu allows you to specify the orientation of your cover image text to be Left Justified, Centered, or Right Justified.

Vertical Alignment

This setting determines the vertical alignment of your content. Your content can either be vertically top, centered, or aligned to the bottom.

Overlay Text Hover Animations

More than 5 animations to choose from. This will apply a animation to the overlay text when you hover over.

Transition Speed (s)

You can choose the speed of the animation.

Overlay Gradient

Use Overlay Gradient

Overlay Styles

The Perky Animate overlay gradient comes with two styles. 'Full Overlay Style' and 'Box Wrapper Style'. The 'Full Overlay Style' is a full gradient where the 'Box Wrapper Style' will have spaces on the edges. Overlay Styles

Only Show When Hover

This option will only show the overlay only when you hover over.

Gradient Types

5 types of gradient types to choose from. You can also choose the first and second gradient color as well as the position of the gradient very similar to Divi's built-in gradient options.

Overlay Inner Wrapper

This is where you can change the background color of the overlay wrapper.

Overlay Padding

There's padding of 7px by 15px on the overlay text. Adjust and change your desired padding to suit your style here.

Text

Here's where you can adjust your module text color, alignment and etc.

Text Vertical Alignment

This setting determines the vertical alignment of your content. Your content can either be vertically top, centered, or aligned to the bottom.

Text Orientation

This dropdown menu allows you to specify the orientation of your text to be Left Justified, Centered, or Right Justified.

Text Color

Here you can choose the value of your text. If you are working with a dark background, then your text should be set to light. If you are working with a light background, then your text should be dark.

Title Text

Here's where you can design and style your Title.

Title Background Color

You can choose your desired color from the color picker for the title background color. This will be apply a background color to the title only.

Title Padding

By default, there's no padding to the Title. If you would like to have a padding on the Title only, then input your desired padding here.

Content Text

Subhead Text

Here's where you can design and style your Subhead.

Subhead Background Color

You can choose your desired color from the color picker for the Subhead background color. This will be apply a background color to the Subhead only.

Button

Here's where you can design and style your Button for Button One and Button Two

Use Custom Styles for Button

Enabling this option will reveal various button customization settings that you can use to change the appearance of your module’s button.

Button Text Size

This setting can be used to increase or decrease the size of the text within the button. The button will scale as the text size is increased and decreased.

Button Text Color

By default, buttons assume your theme accent color as defined in the Theme Customizer. This option allows you to assign a custom text color to the button in this module. Select your custom color using the color picker to change the button’s color.

Button Background Color

By default, buttons have a transparent background color. This can be changed by selected your desired background color from the color picker.

Button Border Width

All Divi buttons have a 2px border by default. This border can be increased or decreased in size using this setting. Borders can be removed by inputting a value of 0.

Button Border Color

By default, button borders assume your theme accent color as defined in the Theme Customizer. This option allows you to assign a custom border color to the button in this module. Select your custom color using the color picker to change the button’s border color.

Button Border Radius

Border radius affects how rounded the corners of your buttons are. By default, buttons in Divi has a small border radius that rounds the corners by 3 pixels. You can decrease this to 0 to create a square button or increase it significantly to create buttons with circular edges.

Button Letter Spacing

Letter spacing affects the space between each letter. If you would like to increase the space between each letter in your button text, use the range slider to adjust the space or input your desired spacing size into the input field to the right of the slider. The input fields supports different units of measurement, which means you can input “px” or “em” following your size value to change its unit type.

Button Font

You can change the font of your button text by selecting your desired font from the dropdown menu. Divi comes with dozens of great fonts powered by Google Fonts. By default, Divi uses the Open Sans font for all text on your page. You can also customize the style of your text using the bold, italic, all-caps and underline options.

Add Button Icon

Disabled this setting will remove icons from your button. By default, all Divi buttons display an arrow icon on hover.

Button Icon

If icons are enabled, you can use this setting to pick which icon to use in your button. Divi has various icons to choose from.

Button Icon Color

Adjusting this setting will change the color of the icon that appears in your button. By default, the icon color is the same as your buttons’ text color, but this setting allows you to adjust the color independently.

Button Icon Placement

You can choose to have your button icon display on the left or the right side of your button.

Only Show Icon On Hover for Button

By default, button icons are only displayed on hover. If you would like the icon to always appear, disable this setting.

Button Hover Text Color

When the button is hovered over by a visitor’s mouse, this color will be used. The color will transition from the base color defined in the previous settings.

Button Hover Background Color

When the button is hovered over by a visitor’s mouse, this color will be used. The color will transition from the base color defined in the previous settings.

Button Hover Border Color

When the button is hovered over by a visitor’s mouse, this color will be used. The color will transition from the base color defined in the previous settings.

Button Hover Border Radius

When the button is hovered over by a visitor’s mouse, this value will be used. The value will transition from the base value defined in the previous settings.

Button Hover Letter Spacing

When the button is hovered over by a visitor’s mouse, this value will be used. The value will transition from the base value defined in the previous settings.

Sizing

Here's where you can adjust the image's width and module's width and height.

Image Width

Applying a max width value here will limit the width of the perky animate image. This only affects perky animate that are not in icon mode.

Height

Here you can adjust the height of your perky animate. You can drag the range slider to increase or decrease the height, or you can input your desired height size value directly into the input field to the right of the slider. Tips: This is useful when using background images(with effects)

Content Width

Here you can adjust the content width of your perky animate. You can drag the range slider to increase or decrease the content width, or you can input your desired width size value directly into the input field to the right of the slider. Note: This will apply a max width to the content wrapper.

Width

Here you can adjust the width of your perky animate. You can drag the range slider to increase or decrease the width, or you can input your desired width size value directly into the input field to the right of the slider.

Spacing

Here's where you can adjust the margins and paddings of the perky animate.

Custom Margin

Margin is the space added outside of your module, between the module and the next element above, below or to the left and right of it. You can add custom margin values to any of the module’s four sides. To remove custom margin, delete the added value from the input field. By default these values are measured in pixels, but you can input custom units of measurement into the input fields.

Custom Padding

Padding is the space added inside of your module, between the edge of the module and its internal elements. You can add custom padding values to any of the module’s four sides. To remove custom margin, delete the added value from the input field. By default these values are measured in pixels, but you can input custom units of measurement into the input fields.

Note: Perky Animate apply 20px padding to the internal elements by default.

Border

Here's where you can add and style your border around your module. This border can be customized using the following conditional settings

Border Color

This option affects the color of your border. Select a custom color from the color picker to apply it to your border.

Border Width

By default, borders have a width of 1 pixel. You can increase this value by dragging the range slider or by inputting a custom value into the input field to the right of the slider. Custom units of measurements of supported, which means you can change the default unit from “px” to something else, such as em, vh, vw etc.

Border Style

Borders support eight different styles, including: solid, dotted, dashed, double, groove, ridge, inset and outset. Select your desired style from the dropdown menu to apply it to your border.

Filters

You now have new set of custom controls that allow you to adjust colors, apply effects and designate blending modes to the module. Everything inside of Filters now has Hue, Saturation, Brightness, Contrast, Invert, Blur, Opacity and Sepia controls that allow you to quickly adjust the appearance of the module. These new features are the perfect way for anyone to bring their unique flare to the page, and the collection of controls really lend themselves to experimentation and exploration. Even if you don’t end up using these filters on your completed page, they are a great way to make sweeping adjustments as you explore new possibilities for your design.

Animation

Here's where you can animate all elements in the Perky Animate such as title, subhead, content, buttons, background text, divider and icon/image or the module(Divi default animation style).

Scrolling Fading Effect

All Elements in the perky animate will appear in sequence when scrolled into viewpoint. Note: Other animation options will be hidden. Make sure you do not enable other animation on other element to avoid conflict.

Animation

More than 49 animations to choose from.

Delay Speed (in s)

This will delay the animation in and also animate the elements which you've enabled on scroll.

Hover Push Animation

If enabled, the element will have raise effect slightly pushed up when you hover over them.

Animation Style

Pick an animation style to enable animations for this element. Once enabled, you will be able to customize your animation style further. To disable animations, choose the None option.
